Maintenance of Way (MOW) Building & Employee Parking (Project No. 301-0124)

CTDOT has acquired the former CT Freezer facility at 1 Brewery Street. The 4.5 acre parcel is adjacent to the New Haven Rail Yard across the street from the CCO. The existing cold storage structure will be demolished. The new Maintenance of Way facility will be constructed on the south end of the parcel providing a place to house all of the Metro-North departments (Track, Structures, Power and Communications & Signals (C&S), including Radio Maintainers) that maintain the yard and New Haven main line infrastructure.

Additional employee parking for the rail yard (250 spaces) will be constructed on the northern portion of the parcel. Brewery Street will be relocated to traverse the center of the parcel, allowing the railyard parking to be north of Brewery Street and within the railyard. This is a Construction Management at Risk project. See Construction Manager at Risk information.
